Who it is forA Claude Code user who wants a guided conversation for making a video instead of learning the CLI first.

The problemThe CLI has many commands and gates, and new users do not know which step comes next.

The outcomeA brief created in conversation, with gate submissions read back to you and turned into pinned notes after your approval.

What you need first

  • Node 20+
  • ffmpeg
  • Either a logged-in Claude Code install (your plan pays) or an Anthropic API key (you pay per token) for real videos
  • Optional: ElevenLabs API key for narration, sound effects and music
  • Linux is the most tested platform so far; Windows and macOS are not fully tested

Steps

  1. In Claude Code, run /plugin marketplace add GTKottman/mortiflix-oss.
  2. Run /plugin install mortiflix@mortiflix.
  3. Run /mortiflix to start the guide, or jump in with /mortiflix demo or /mortiflix new explainer.
  4. At each gate, read what the session sent, open the frames and videos, and tell the guide your changes.
  5. Check the guide's read-back of pinned notes before it sends them, then approve or ask for changes.

Prompt for your agent

In Claude Code, install the plugin from GTKottman/mortiflix-oss with `/plugin marketplace add GTKottman/mortiflix-oss` and `/plugin install mortiflix@mortiflix`, then run `/mortiflix demo`. Expected output is a completed placeholder walk-through of every gate. Verify that the guide asks you before installing anything and before starting paid work.

Caveat. The guide is the conversation only; the video itself is still made by the studio's own sessions behind the same gates, and real runs still need your Claude login or API key.
