Who it is forA developer or operator who needs browser automation or local code work driven by the team's self-hosted Agent platform.
The problemThe self-hosted Web workspace alone does not provide Browser Agent or Code Agent, so these capabilities need a second component.
The outcomeMOVO Desktop connected to the self-hosted MOVO service, with Browser Agent and Code Agent available.
What you need first
- Git installed
- Docker Desktop, or Docker Engine with Docker Compose v2
- At least 8 GB of available memory and 20 GB of available disk space
- Network access to GHCR and Docker Hub for the initial image pull
- Credentials for at least one compatible model API to complete setup
Steps
git clone https://github.com/himovo/movo.gitcd movo./movo up- Install MOVO Desktop from https://www.himovo.com/en/download.html.
- Connect MOVO Desktop to your self-hosted MOVO service, then open the Browser Agent or Code Agent.
Prompt for your agent
Using the repo himovo/movo, deploy the self-hosted service with ./movo up, then install MOVO Desktop and connect it to <MOVO service URL>. Report whether Browser Agent and Code Agent appear and verify that a sample browser task completes.
Caveat. MOVO Desktop is proprietary software distributed separately and its source is not in this repository, so the Browser Agent and Code Agent behavior comes from that app rather than from this code.
