How to schedule Agent tasks with approval and audit controls with Movo

Run scheduled tasks while sensitive tool actions wait for approval and executions stay traceable.

Who it is forAn operations or IT lead who wants recurring Agent tasks in production without losing control of sensitive actions.

The problemRecurring Agent work can trigger system changes with no approval step or trace of what ran.

The outcomeScheduled tasks that require approval for sensitive tool actions, with executions traced and artifacts retained.

What you need first

  • Git installed
  • Docker Desktop, or Docker Engine with Docker Compose v2
  • At least 8 GB of available memory and 20 GB of available disk space
  • Network access to GHCR and Docker Hub for the initial image pull
  • Credentials for at least one compatible model API to complete setup

Steps

  1. git clone https://github.com/himovo/movo.git
  2. cd movo
  3. ./movo up
  4. Open http://localhost:3000/admin/ and configure models, Tools and Skills for the team.
  5. Create a scheduled task in the user workspace and mark the sensitive tool actions that need approval.
  6. ./movo logs chat-api

Prompt for your agent

Using the repo himovo/movo, deploy it with ./movo up and configure a scheduled task that calls <tool name> with an approval requirement. Return the task ID and the execution trace, and verify that the sensitive action waits for approval before it runs.

Caveat. The README says sensitive tool actions require approval and executions are traced, but it does not document the exact scheduling interface, so check the admin console for the available options.
