How to stress-test a business idea before you launch with Founder Skill

Run a board review and a 100-buyer simulated panel on an idea before you spend money.

Who it is forA founder or small business owner who has an idea for a product or service and wants to find objections and weak points before committing savings.

The problemLaunching first and learning why buyers say no is expensive, and friends or spreadsheets rarely surface the real objections.

The outcomeA scored board verdict (fund, fund if, or pass), a list of risks and the buyer objections and reasons to pass from the simulated consumer panel.

What you need first

  • A Claude account, or Claude Code for plugin install and sub-agents
  • Python 3.8 or newer for the tools (no pip install needed)
  • A project folder where the founder/ files will be written

Steps

  1. Install the skills by pasting https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill into Claude and saying install skill, or copy the folders with cp -r founder-skill/skills/founder-* ~/.claude/skills/.
  2. Run /founder-board to write founder/idea.md and get the three board votes and their conditions.
  3. Run /founder-consumer --quick to get a fast read on who would buy and why they would pass.
  4. Read the conditions from the board and the objections from the panel and decide whether to fund, change the idea or pass.

Prompt for your agent

Using the Jakeschincariol/founder-skill repo installed as Claude skills, run /founder-board and then /founder-consumer --quick on the idea described in <idea description>. Output the board vote, the top three objections and the reasons buyers would pass, saved under founder/. Verify that the panel answers are treated as simulated research and not as real customer evidence.

Caveat. The consumer panel is simulated buyers and language models lean agreeable, so the buy rate is an upper bound and big calls need real people.
