Remote script. The skill install pulls generation instructions from a remote repository, so review the skill files before letting the agent write content into your game.
Who it is forA developer or world designer who wants Codex to prepare new maps, buildings, or regional content from a saved run.
The problemAdding new places by hand is slow, and the world must stay consistent with what the player has already visited.
The outcomeThe agent proposes new region content from the run snapshot, and schemas and map validation decide what enters the game.
What you need first
- Node.js 22.13 or newer
- A terminal in the repository folder
- Codex sign-in and generation allowance for full single-player or hosted play (the browser demo and the finite tutorial preview do not need it)
Steps
- Run
npx skills add Shellishack/infinite-pokemon --skill infinite-pokemon-regionto install the region generation skill. (inferred, check the README) - Make sure the local game is running from the repository with
npm start. - Ask Codex to use the region skill to prepare the next places from the current run snapshot.
- Review the proposed region content and confirm that visited places stay stable.
- Check the destination status in the game for queued, generating, retry, or cancel states.
Prompt for your agent
Use the infinite-pokemon-region skill from the Shellishack/infinite-pokemon repo to prepare the next region from the immutable run snapshot for <run name>. Report which maps passed validation, which failed, and confirm that visited maps were not changed.
Caveat. The harness supplies names, descriptions, and story hooks inside validated seeded templates, so it does not add arbitrary executable gameplay.
