Credentials. A signed-in phone can do anything the agent can do, so the Relay password and the paired device must be kept private.
Who it is forA developer who is out of the house or office and needs to unblock a running agent task.
The problemThe harness only listens on its own computer by default, so a phone on mobile data cannot reach it.
The outcomeThe phone reaches the harness through an encrypted, paired Relay connection and can respond to the agent.
What you need first
- A computer running DeepSeek Harness with the dsh web command available
- An Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer
- The phone and computer on the same Wi-Fi network for Local network mode
- The APK from the latest DSH Mobile release, or a source build with Gradle
Steps
- Install the APK from the latest release at https://github.com/sorsama/deepseek-harness-mobile/releases/latest.
- Install the dsh-relay plugin from https://github.com/sorsama/deepseek-harness-relay on the harness computer.
- Follow the Relay page at https://github.com/sorsama/deepseek-harness-mobile/wiki/Relay to set the password and pairing.
- In the app, choose Relay and scan the pairing QR code.
- Open the session and answer the agent's questions or review its plan.
Prompt for your agent
Using the repo sorsama/deepseek-harness-mobile and its Relay wiki page, list the steps to pair the Android app with a harness through dsh-relay from <location>. Output an ordered checklist. Verify that the checklist includes scanning the pairing QR code in the app.
Caveat. The Relay plugin lives in a separate repository, so its own setup steps and requirements apply in addition to this app's.
