Who it is forA developer who wants a harness available without a laptop, for example while travelling with only a phone.
The problemThere is no always-on computer to host the harness, and the phone is the only device available.
The outcomeThe harness runs on the phone itself, and the app can start, stop, and sign in to it.
What you need first
- A computer running DeepSeek Harness with the dsh web command available
- An Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer
- The phone and computer on the same Wi-Fi network for Local network mode
- The APK from the latest DSH Mobile release, or a source build with Gradle
Steps
- Install Termux from https://f-droid.org/packages/com.termux/ and install the DSH Mobile APK from the latest release.
- Read harness/TERMUX.md in the repo before you set up Node in Termux, because it does not work on every device yet.
- Follow the Termux setup steps in harness/TERMUX.md to install the harness inside Termux.
- In the app, choose This phone and let the app start the harness and sign you in.
- Pick a session and send a message to the agent.

Using the repo sorsama/deepseek-harness-mobile and its harness/TERMUX.md guide, list the steps to run DeepSeek Harness inside Termux on an Android phone. Output a checklist with a note for any device requirement. Verify that the checklist says to read the guide before installing Node.
Caveat. Setting up Node in Termux does not work on every device yet, so check harness/TERMUX.md before spending time on the install.
