Credentials. The token in the dsh web link signs the phone in, and anyone who has the link can sign in until the harness restarts.
Who it is forA developer who started a coding task at their desk and wants to check progress from the couch or a meeting room on the same Wi-Fi.
The problemThe agent stops to ask for approval or answers, and the developer is away from the computer.
The outcomeThe phone shows the live session, and the developer can approve commands, answer questions, and send follow-ups.
What you need first
- A computer running DeepSeek Harness with the dsh web command available
- An Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer
- The phone and computer on the same Wi-Fi network for Local network mode
- The APK from the latest DSH Mobile release, or a source build with Gradle
Steps
- Install the APK from the latest release at https://github.com/sorsama/deepseek-harness-mobile/releases/latest and open it on your Android 8.0 or newer phone.
- On the computer, run
dsh web --host 192.168.1.20, replacing 192.168.1.20 with the computer's real local address. - Copy the line the harness prints that starts with
dsh web: http://, including the token. - In the app, choose Local network, paste the whole link into the address field or tap the paste button, and tap Connect.
- Pick the session from the list, then approve or reject any pending command when the agent asks.
Prompt for your agent
Using the repo sorsama/deepseek-harness-mobile, set up Local network mode so an Android phone can reach a DeepSeek Harness at <computer-local-address>. Output the exact dsh web command to run and the steps to paste the printed link into the app. Verify that the link includes a token before connecting.
Caveat. Local network mode checks the sign-in token but does not encrypt traffic, so use it only on a network you trust.
