Who it is forAn Oh My Pi user who wants shorter, plainer versions of assistant answers.
The problemOMP answers can be hard to scan, and OMP has no built-in plain-language summary.
The outcomeA Light rewrite card appears below the original answer in OMP, without tabs.
What you need first
- Pi (current release) or Oh My Pi (OMP) installed
- A model available and authenticated in the host so SLYE can call it
- A terminal to run the install command
- Node 24+ only if you plan to develop or test the repo itself
Steps
- Run
omp plugin install speak-like-you-eat. - Finish an answer in OMP.
- Run
/slyeto rewrite the latest completed assistant response. - Compare the Light rewrite with the unchanged original above it.
Prompt for your agent
Install the SLYE repo (wtfzambo/speak-like-you-eat) as an Oh My Pi plugin with `omp plugin install speak-like-you-eat`, then run /slye on the latest answer in <target session>. Expected output: a Light rewrite card below the original. Verify that the card has no ELI5 tab, since OMP shows only the Light version.
Caveat. OMP shows only the Light version of a rewrite, without the ELI5 tab that Pi provides.
